About the Property

Recently refurbished throughout and furnished with large luxurious zip and link beds.

Clovehayes has two Emperor size beds (200 x 200) and one Super King size bed (180 x 200) splitting into twins if required. All beds have hypoallergenic pillows, duvets and toppers with 400 thread count Eygptian Cotton sheets and covers.

 

One Emperor bedroom is ensuite and there is one bathroom with bath and shower facilities for use by all guests. All bedrooms have a Pure DAB radio with bluetooth connection, hair dryer, alarm clock, wooden coat hangers and USB sockets. A selection of luxury towels are provided for use on the premises, together with Duck Island toiletries. Please bring your own beach towels.

 

Heating is by gas central heating and gas coal effect fire. The bathroom and ensuite have electric underfloor heating which can be switched on if required. Towel rails can also be heated electrically for those hot summer days when central heating is not required. Bluetooth connection to mirrors in the Bathroom and Ensuite enable personal music to be played.

 

The kitchen is fully equipped with items such as Sage Nespresso coffee maker, Sage blender, Sage food processor, microwave, Crock-Pot, steamer, Robert Welch cutlery, John Lewis Croft Collection Luna tableware as well as the usual, electric oven, ceramic hob, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. 1 socket is USB. There is a separate dining room which seats six.

A smart TV with Freesat and NOW TV and a Pure DAB radio are located in the living room. Fibre Broadband with Free WiFi is available. Through the living room French door there is direct access to the patio, garden and paddock. A rattan 6 seater table set with 4 foot stools and Weber gas barbecue are conveniently located just outside of the living room and close to the dining room and kitchen.

 

Clovehayes has convenient free parking and is surrounded by a lawned garden, with small fishpond, patio area and paddock to the rear.

 

The paddock contains part of a Scheduled Monument, a Roman Motte which is known as Castle Court. This appears as a small hill at the side of the paddock with a dip around its base. More information can be found at https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1020268

 

Regarding accessibility ~ unfortunately the bungalow is not currently suitable for wheelchairs and has a few steps to access the property. The beds are also quite high and the fishpond is not covered or fenced. Children over 12 are very welcome but unfortunately we cannot accept pets at the property.

Meet The Owner
Hi! I’m Janet. My family and I are very fortunate to live in Devon surrounded by beautiful countryside and glorious views.

Sometimes the simple things in life can give pleasure. I enjoy listening to the birds singing, a blackbird in particular can sometimes be heard in the garden mimicking a telephone, always worthy of a smile.

 

My main hobby is photography and Devon is a great area to find an endless source of subjects to capture. Being an amateur, the photographs are sometimes out of focus & need to be deleted, on other occasions, they come out surprisingly well. Let us say that I still have plenty to learn. I also enjoy pottering about in the garden & should probably stay away from garden centres, often coming home with plants that I have a problem finding the time to plant.

 

I would say that most of my free time is spent travelling around Devon with my camera, walking & sometimes stopping off for a bite to eat accompanied by family and friends. I hope that my guests will find Devon equally as enjoyable as I do & they find the property equally as nice for their stay.
